Local place has some used Evo 8 rims for sale with tires. Will they fit on a 2gb GS-T or are they too wide? They're 17x8 I believe.

Yes they fit, I have seen 2 different 2Gs with them on. 1 was stock ride height. Unsure of the other.

Same here. I have seen them on 2Gs already.
The low miles "pumpkin" @ Buschurs, was nice wasn't it?

Interesting. Are there any offset issues or anything. Since you guys say they fit fine I am not going to raise the issue of the bolts but If say I were to go get some lightweight evo rims, I wouldn't be happy if they start rubbing.

The owner didn't mention any problems but I didnt' ask him specifically if he had any fitment problems.

That car was unbelievably clean. The Evo wheels looked great with the orange color too.

yeh it was pretty sweet you could eat out of the engine bay... the evo wheels look very good on 2g's havent seen them on a 1g yet though.

I've seen them on accouple of 2g's. Look pretty good but i like the stock gs-t rims better (they were all gs-t that had them). I wouldn't image there would be any fitment issues since i've seen them on multiple cars. I don't want to say they fit but I wouldn't image there would be problems.

You can check out my gallery if you want. I have a few in there of my car. Most of the recent ones were taken with my phone so they are shitty though.

Also, while I was getting my JIC's dialed in I drove around at a bunch of different ride heights. The only rubbing I had was on the rear fender lip. You could roll it if you wanted to. I was at about a 1 finger tire to fender gap when I was getting this. That's WAY too low anyway. Once I got them to just under 3 fingers in the rear (heh...) and just under 2 in the front they were fine. I am going to raise the front just a touch more as they are hitting my upper splash cover on the front right now. That has more to do with the JIC's having a lot of travel than the Evo wheels though. They will stick out from the sides a *small* amount on the rear at stock ride height. A little rear camber will fix that. I am at 1.7* in the front and 1.4* in the rear and they are flush with the fenders right now. Even at stock ride height you really had to look to notice they stuck out a little. It's just a couple centimeters.

I am running Prokits on my Spyder. I had Tein Flex coilovers on my old GST 235 tires are the widest you can run with no rubbing. The only Issue I had with my Prokits was when my Spyder was packed full of crap on my drive to Colorado. I rubbed a little on big bumps. I also had a couple hundred pounds in the trunk and the back seat was full too.

I have been looking for a set for 2 years. :( I hate you right now. Last set I found dude wanted 1000 with no rubber. On my trip to Colorado. I parked next to a EVO with the BBS's in Vegas.

I was tempted to trade rims with him without his knowledge..............Im sure he would of been cool with mine... :) Right????

The 8's i am running. I got for 500 with New Kumhos, less the 1000 miles on them. And a almost new pair of good years. He had them laying in his garage. My only issue, my rear tow is way out of whack. Burned up the rear Kumhos in less than 3000 miles. :( Now the good years. One has 30% left the other is bald. I did that in 4000ish miles.
Something is bent. But im making my Spyder AWD. I really dont want to replace all the control arms just to do the swap in a few months. I have a buddy that got out of DSM's and he has everything to do the swap but a tranny. He is shipping the parts to me in a few weeks.
