Everything is looking great, I always know I'm going to see quality when I look at your builds. And I'm with ya on the little things that take up way to much time. I feel like everytime I've turned around another thing is broken lol. But I guess that's expected on these cars, soon enough they'll be classics lol. Don't go losing motivation yet your really close. I lost motivation a couple weeks ago, but seeing your progress might just be the kick in the keister to get me going.
Wow thanks for the support man I really appreciate it ! I also look at your build to get motivation haha, guess we all feal the same after working for so long ...

I've been working like crazy at my shop those days so no update on the car, at least it will give me money to buy the gauges I wanted ;)

I think I need to pay you a visit this coming summer, my friend :)
Hey brother ! It would be nice to see you next summer :D I will always have a little surprise for you

Bumper cover is finally on !!! Wooooot Wooooooot :D

Serioulsy I'm really happy because I started to think that I would have to modify my IC bracket because you know a 12" high IC don't fit bolt on in our bumper, I even had to trip the upper bracket that normally hold the cover on the bumper. With that part trimmed I have nothing to hold the bumper up the front so I just ordered an overkill fabrication bumper kit.

I don't have pictures of the bumper 95% finish since I didn't have my phone this week-end but I'll upload some that you can see the IC with the fog lights in maybe 1 hour ... :)

Also my upper IC piping is done cutting, I had to cut more than what I show you ... I'm happy with how it turned out.

Now I need to find how to proprely shim my transfer case with the magnus cover on than it'll be time to fit the exhaust. I think I'll need to clock the downpipe it at the o2 housing since it wasn't centered last year and tend to push on the transfer case cover.

I gather french is your first language then? Tell me about it, I am Italian born and raised, and my first pick at a foreign language was french, almost forgot all of it though...

From your reply I think you meant leaking, as swelling would mean for the line to get bigger in diameter (gonfler, thanks to Google Translator). Than I can understand why you would torque them to stop from leaking.
I'm Italian also. I am trying to learn more of the language right now. I just recently had family from Italy come to visit for 2 weeks. They don't speak any English so communication was not too easy. We had to communicate through my mother whom speaks it fluently. But I'm going to a cousin's wedding on the Amalfi coast where they live in a town called Agerola, so I'm trying to learn as much as possible by next year. Do you speak fluent Italian? Were you born here in the U.S?

Sorry, Pat! Didn't mean to hijack your thread, brother. :)

Pat, car is looking great! You definitely invested a lot of time in it and you can tell. Good work, Pat!
Haha thanks brother ! :D

Don't you have an Italian sister or cousin for me ?

Here are some pictures since I like to take more than not enough, I'll snap other one this evening if I go working on the car ...

Here are the speakers I had in my 2gen, decided to install them in the 1gen since the 2g isn't running a radio ;)

Fresh front GoodRidge brake lines, don't have pics of the back ...

I also decided to rip all the ABS harness with the abc ecu while installing my 0ga wire, it gave me enough space to hide the 0ga wire where the stock harness was ... I also removed the abs sensor and all the wiring under the car. I had some old rubber plug/cap from other cars that I used plug where the abs harness was, it looks really good. It was just long to find the plug in my stuff haha :) I'll make some block off plate to be sure no crap fall where the sensor was. I tought about ordering OEM plug/cap but I've read that non abs one don't have the hole in the knuckle so I'll fab some plate ... Interior should go back in next time I'll work on the car.

I knew the boost was pushing a bit but never tought the wideband too ... It was cold this morning in the garage in f*ucking canada where winter never ends. Clear cover was just prying a bit since I finished last week but looking sweet ! I toutched it than it started: tik tik tik ... TAK a big nice crack right in the middle ...

Don't know what I'll do. Maybe run the cluster without the cover untill I can afford the other gauges I would need ... Got a spare clear cover that I could shim and kind of glue around if that makes sense ...

Looks good dude! But I agree... This winter has been far too long. I hate it :(
Yeah bro, over here we still have 5 feets of compact snow. This year it's crazy we are beating 20-years-old record. :(

Yeah, luckily here it's been melting. Some people I've seen riding motorcycles, it's supposed to be warm Monday so I may take my bike out but we'll see.

The roads got absolutely destroyed after this year. They're all buckled up and potholes everywhere. I feel like I'm driving through Detroit or Buffalo :p

That sucks man. Running it with no glass wouldn't be to big of a deal though....
Will see how it looks without the glass. Didn't wanted to mess with the cluster this weekend ...

Here's what I installed today, polished for now but I'll paint it black this summer.

Overkill Fabrication bumper kit installed but still need a bit of adjustment ...

It's a kit from a OverkillFabrication :)
That looks fantastic!
The brakes, quick disconnect bumper and exhaust plate you made all look really good in the picture you posted. You're taking your time and all the details are really starting to add up.

If you're ever find yourself in a situation where you're getting towed...This should save the bumper from getting demolished as you get pulled onto a flatbed.

Thank you very much for the kind of words Lazy :D
I also decided to go with the OverkillFabrication kit because I'm running a huge IC and he has a bumper support option for the 1ga. With this my bumper isn't sagging anymore.

I haven't posted a picture of my bumper cover yet. Some will love it and some will hate because I cutted so much. I wanted to try something like gazstroker' 2g ... I like how it looks so that's the most important. Just waiting to get a sunny day so I can spray the ETS tag on the IC than I'll show you ;)

I also just ordered 1.75" piping and a v-band assembly from MAP to build the dump tube. It'll be made with "pie cuts" because there's no way for me to know exactly what I would need to build it. I tryed to build a model and it ended with no real straight tubing, always turning and a bunch of small radius 90*. At least with "pie cuts" I'll be able to finish it the same day I'll start to build it.

The only person I know not happy about this news is my welder  Well he should be since I'm giving him more jobs :tat:

Thanks Loki :)

Here's an update ...

I worked on my truck for the last 2 days ... Got a check engine and it's for for high voltage IAT. Not so good on the tune when the ECU thinks it's 50* celcius outside ... Long short story, I replaced the AIT sensor, check was still there, reseted the ecu, check was still there. Decided to rip the chip the last owner installed ( some kind of AIT fooler but all hook to the MAP ) An edge chip to be exact. Couldn't reset my ECU but the check light turned off while heading to my welder. I hope it won't come back cause that would push the build away for some weeks ...

Now dsm pictures time :)

Diesel fuel is perfect to remove the old greace from axle cup. Best thing I found so far.

Rear shaft are out, seriously it was super easy. I'll remove the bearing later today:
