Re: MacGSX's Build 2009 **56K beware**

So had bad was it to swap out those wheel bearings? Mine are knocking and are just plain terrible. I keep putting it off because I know it's gonna be a son of a bitch.... Got any tips for me?

Very nice car, I just finished reading through all 25 pages of your build thread.

I was doing new rotors at the same time so what I did was put the old rotor on backwards with 3 lugs and banged the shit out of it all around until it slowly came out. There really was no trick, just a big freaking hammer and the rotor will do fine. When I do the driver side tomorrow I may soak it in pb blaster for about 30min before I start.

Ive done mine. Very frusterating. Just keep hitting it with a hammer, it will evnetually come out. Especially if your going to put on new rotors as well, you have nothing to lose just bang the shit outta it. It will take awhile, and it will be frusterating.

Shit! Unluckily for me I just replaced all my brake rotors... Aren't you able to use a pulley puller on these like we do here with Jeeps? Sorry about my noobism to DSM's.
I am sure there may be a right way to pull them, but I just know the DSM way, Big freaking hammer!

And thanks for the props! I'm going to take plenty of engine bay shots once I'm done with the suspension. I'm going to be re spraying the bay and cleaning it up alot (not to mention my monster custom inter cooler piping that is being made :D) More pictures to come this winter.

Hell yea! I took my time and was all nice about the passenger side and it took waaay to long. Driver side? ha. Beat the fuck out of it. Took about 20 good swings with the sledge and it cracked from the lugs, almost all the way out. Needless to say, came right off.

I just read all 25 pages, and damn man....props on a nice clean build. :tree:

A big bitch with a car I envy.. haha. Seriously though, I feel his pain with the cold. That's why when my dad and I were building our house, I made sure we ran a gas line to the garage. :) Cold problem = Solved.

I have a heater but still I'm just being lazy. Actually all I have to do is bleed my brakes, and install my small battery and I'll be ready to take her to get the custom intercooler piping made.

No V3 yet, just bought a COP, and some other things so I am saving up some cushion before I spend more. I'll have it before spring.

Shitty pics but it's something.

New brakes. EBC slotted/dimpled rotors and EBC pads. I sanded down and put a light coat of black paint on the calipers just to keep them clean.

How she sits now :(

Just pulled the transfer case to replace the leaky seal. Hopefully I stop wasting my heavy shock proof gear oil now. Don't mind the muddy/nasty bumper, new coilovers put her a little low and I messed it up good pulling in my driveway.

Now it's just a matter of bolting the xcase back up, adjusting the coilovers and then taking it to get the new IC pipes made and the meth kit put on :D
