Hey, I'm in the middle of a small wire tuck for my car.
So far the fusebox has been put in the glove box. I already removed the abs and converted my car to non-abs. But I'm curious what do I do with the rest of the abs harness? I followed them into the passanger side floorboard. Can I just cut it off or is their anything in particular that I should save and not cut?
They are the connectors that plug in the abs module that go along the front of the car into the outer passenger side fender wall. It has a big blue plug and an ecu of some sort under the passenger side floorboard.

I'll post pics soon so you guys know what I'm talking about.
Any ideas?

I know on my 1g I was able to remove all wiring with out cutting. I did have the interior apart. I'm sure what you're following is going to the rear of the car for the rear sensors. I'd keep on tracing and remove it all. You may want to start checking under the car to see where the harness comes out for the rear and work you way from the back till you get to the front.

Hey my friend ! :) Here are the pictures we are talking about. Only ABS ECU is missing on the pictures. Can some one just unplug all these wires and chek if the car still running and what does not work when all these wires are unplug. You can find all this stuff under passenger feet :D

- ABS ECU harness
- 5 wires that looks like ground for ?
- Some kind of relay for ?
- And a little clip with 2 wires on it ...

Can anybody confirm that thats how you do it for a 2g? i don't want to tear apart everything to find out it is connected to something else on the end.

haha You already had the pictures prepared :)
Yes if anybody can just simply unplug it all and see what are the "effects" of it that would be most helpful. If I remember correctly the front passenger headlight was taped among the other wires, Just interesting. Thats why I'm worried iffy about taking a stab at it just yet until I figure out whats what.
God I wish my car didn't come with abs...

I'd be glad too but my car isn't really running LOL. It's also an hour and a half drive from my house at my parents place.
I've got no interior in my car so I wouldn't be able to give you guys much.

There are systems tied in but they are before the ABS or tied into a similar junction block. I don't think it should cause any issues as the ABS is separate from the EFI ECU.

Now one thing to note is there are 2 different brake light switches. 1 I assume is for a car with ABS and cruise and one without.

I'm going to take a shot at it later tonight and see if it can all just be "unplugged" like a 1g.

Ok, I removed the whole ABS box and finalyl got the abs harness out as well.
I noticed only 3 wires actually go back to into the original harness, 1 black wire(ground) and 2 wires twisted together(white with red stripe & black with red stripe) The 1 black wire leading back into the combined grounds is for the headlight/turn signal(I can't remember) the other 2 twisted wires leading back are for the driver side abs plug, Which I simply just removed.

So all and all NOTHING was connected to anything, I hope I got it all right. I followed all the lines to the fuse box and they all lead back to an ABS fuse or relay. I simply removed the fuses and cut the wires from the fusebox. This allowed me to remove the entire abs harness without any problems.
I hope this helps out! I know my car is still not running but after sitting down and thinking about it it is pretty much self explanatory.

Where is my 5 doll hairs son? :p
