Blow Through or VPC

Should I do a blow through or a VPC? A couple of my friends have had good luck with a VPC on their Supra's. I know blow through is very common on DSM's, but is it the best besides a standalone? I have an SAFC, 650cc injectors, EVO3 16G, 3" exhaust, and a FMIC.

Thanks, Frankie

DSMLink with a MAF. It is way too easy to blow shit up with the VPC. It stops adding fuel at 25psi, so any more boost than that and you have to manually add fuel to compensate for the extra airflow. And it tends to give you crazy high timing advance. It isn't odd to see around 32 degrees of advance with a VPC.

The VPC's time has come and gone.

DSMlink is not an afc, and you will not get the insane timing advance you would get with the VPC (or an afc). DSMlink also lets you modify the timing curve to your liking, it is worth every dime they charge for it. Blow-through all the way ..

The DSMlink developers work very closely with the users and have accepted user-supplied data on a *ton* of different aftermarket sensors and written routines for logging them all on the link. The support level that Tom and Dave supply is second to none.

Oh man how can you even ask about these other set ups? DSMLink is by far the best tuning software out there for our DSM's. I dont care what you have, dsmLink is by far the best thing sense your first orgasm! I love it, i HATE TUNING WITH A DAMN SAFC!! its always trial and error with the 2g, the eprom ecu is about 200.00 and the dsmlink is about 550.00, so your talking about 750.00 for the complete package! GO GET IT! the graphs and the fact of whipping out a lab top intimidates people... they're like dammmnnn what you have done to this thing...i love dsmlink.
Just for a insight on DSMLINK i hooked my eprom and played around with my friends STOCK 96 talon awd with a boost controller, and guess what we gained 43whp just out of tuning it. That was only at 12lbs of boost.. that just goes to show you what tuning is all about. go with the link!!

Do you think your stock MAS is a restriction with that setup?
I got it cuz my air flter is held in by the clips that held the stock air can to the MAF. I took my intake pipe off to check the model number on my turbo to make sure it was a EVO3 16G and there was dirt in side the tube :( So I'm just going to get an intake pipe and throw a K&N on the end of it so there will be no more leak.

My next purchase will most likely be an EPROM ECU and a DSMLink. What cars came with an EPROM ECU?

i recommend going full stand alone if you got the funds. i personally run a VPC on my mr2 and it allows me to make small changes to the a/f ratio (i use the s-afc for fine tuning), and it eliminates the maf, BUT you can't control boost, ignition, and there is no 2-step (boring!). with a full stand alone you can get most of this stuff.
