Majority of projector headlights, come with Low/High 9005 bulbs, some come with 9005 low and H11 high or 9005 and H7 ETC, all depends on the manufacturer as well but all are

9006 are low beam bulbs, and 9005 are high beam bulbs - don't use modified 9005 bulbs in your low beam sockets unless you're an ignorant f@*k who likes to cause accidents, despite what other people tell you.

Hooey. Correctly aimed, the difference is slight from the driver's seat, and unnoticeable to oncoming traffic.

I like the Xenon bulbs, but I go through them like no tomorrow. Every 3-4 months I have to replace them. The low beam bulbs (9006) have the tips dipped such that light can't go directly out of the headlight, it must be reflected out of the headlight assembly, the 9005 don't have that.

One of the local shops here had some xenon low beams for my 2g. I'm really not a big fan of modding my lighting system, but after seeing it in a 2g I was very impreased. The light is very white and much brighter then my stock ones, and much whiter then my higher watt halogen. They're not bluish at all. My friend drove my car behind me and it didn't glare or blind me at all. They actually caused a lot less glare then the halogen's did. I was amazed as to how well it worked out. I don't remember the brand but I can look.

Exact Information for Projector headlights:
Won't be a difference in low or high 9005 vs 9006. Same wattage, different style bulb - just as bright. 9005 can fit in a 9006 socket but 9006 will not fit in a 9005 socket. the plug might be different but it will work 100%. Also, 9006 is only use in low beams and 9005 is use for both.

I guess I'm stupid but if the bulbs are the same why is the high beam brighter? Is it sent more power/wattage from the vehicle wiring to make the high beam brighter than the low beam?

Hey smart guys, this thread is from 2003. Projector headlights weren't exactly common place back then. These cars never had them. If you remember driving around back in the early 2000s, idiots were swapping to these stupid bright white lights and when they drive around no one else can see anything. Thats what he was talking about...

There's no need to trave 18 years back in time to call someone a dumb f@@k especially if you don't recall what was happening back then.
